My name is Abi, and I established my own business 'Grooms By Abi' in 2020. I have always been passionate about advancing my skills, gaining knowledge through extensive reading and research in the canine psychology sector. This has greatly benefited my grooming career by allowing me to effectively communicate and customize my approach for each dog, building trust while prioritising their well-being.

 

In January 2023, I began offering Ultrasonic teeth cleaning services, which sparked my interest in canine anatomy and to help understand the reasons behind the high rate of periodontal disease in dogs at such a young age. This led me to pursue a Level 3 diploma in Canine Nutrition, as I believe that nutrition plays a vital role in maintaining the overall health and well-being of dogs.

 

With a decade of experience working with dogs, I have developed a deep understanding of canine behaviour and psychology. This allows me to communicate effectively with your dog, adapting my approach to meet their individual needs and ensuring a gentle and enjoyable experience for them.

 

During my free time, I enjoy travelling around the UK in our campervan with my partner and our two dogs, Louie, a lively Border Collie, and Ruby, a playful Toy Poodle who loves getting dirty in the mud!
